1. Who we are
Jaisalmer Desert Camp & Tours operates a desert camp and tour service at Sam Sand Dunes Road, Kanoi, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan 345001, registered under Rajasthan Tourism Reg. No. RJ/JSM/2011/4482. In these terms “we” and “us” mean Jaisalmer Desert Camp & Tours, and “you” means the person making the booking.
2. Bookings and confirmation
A booking exists only once we have received your deposit and issued a written confirmation by WhatsApp or email. Rates quoted on this website are per the unit stated on each package and are subject to availability and seasonal revision until confirmed. All prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable GST unless stated otherwise.
3. Check-in, check-out and identification
Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am. Indian law requires every adult guest to present valid government photo identification at check-in; foreign nationals must present a passport and valid visa for the C-Form. We may refuse accommodation where identification cannot be produced.
4. Your responsibilities during activities
- Follow all safety briefings and the instructions of guides, cameleers and pilots.
- Declare any medical condition, pregnancy, recent surgery or injury before an activity.
- Do not participate in any activity under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Supervise children at all times, including around bonfires, camels and vehicles.
- Treat our animals, staff, equipment and the desert environment with care.
We may withdraw you from an activity, without refund, if your conduct puts you, other guests, our team or our animals at risk.
5. Liability
Desert activities carry inherent risk. We maintain public liability insurance and service our equipment daily, but we accept liability only for loss or injury directly caused by our negligence. We are not liable for personal belongings left unattended, for losses arising from events outside our reasonable control, or for conditions you failed to disclose. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering adventure activities.
6. Force majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform where prevented by events beyond our control, including severe weather, dust storms, fire, epidemic, strike, civil unrest, border restrictions or any government order. In such cases the refund terms in our Refund & Cancellation Policy apply.
7. Camp rules
- Quiet hours from 11:30 pm, out of respect for other guests and neighbouring villages.
- Smoking is not permitted inside tents. Please use the designated outdoor areas.
- Open flames, fireworks and drones require prior written permission.
- Any damage to tents, furnishings or vehicles is chargeable at replacement cost.
8. Photography and media
We occasionally photograph camp life for our own marketing. Tell the camp manager or email us if you would prefer not to appear, and we will honour that immediately. You retain full rights to your own photographs.
9. Website content
Text, layout and branding on this site belong to us. Photographs are either our own or licensed stock imagery and are illustrative of the experience rather than a guarantee of a specific tent, vehicle or view. We correct errors as soon as we find them but do not warrant that every detail is free of mistakes.
10. Complaints
Raise any problem with the camp manager while you are on site, where we can usually put it right the same day. If something remains unresolved, email stay@thekhadeen.com within 14 days of checkout and we will respond within five working days.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
