About Jaisalmer
The Golden City and the Thar beyond it
Jaisalmer is the last big town before the Pakistan border — a fortified sandstone city surrounded by dunes, war memorials and villages the desert reclaimed. Every one of these can be added to your itinerary as a guided half or full day.
42 km from camp
Jaisalmer Golden Fort
One of the very few living forts left on earth — roughly three thousand people still live inside its honey-coloured walls. Wander the Jain temples, the Patwon Ki Haveli lanes and the ramparts at sunset, when the whole hill turns molten gold.

Sam Sand Dunes
At the camp
The classic ridge of Thar dunes where the camel safaris head out and the sky puts on its nightly show. Our camp sits minutes away, so you can be on the sand for golden hour without a long drive.
Kuldhara Village
35 km from camp
A prosperous Paliwal Brahmin village until it emptied overnight around 1825, supposedly under a curse. Today it is a hauntingly quiet grid of roofless sandstone houses — best visited in the soft light of early morning.
Tanot Mata Temple
120 km from camp
A small desert temple close to the international border, famous for the unexploded shells that fell around it during the 1965 war and never went off. The drive out is pure empty Thar, and the BSF-run shrine is genuinely moving.
Longewala War Memorial
135 km from camp
The 1971 battlefield where 120 Indian soldiers held off an armoured advance until dawn. Captured tanks, a Hunter aircraft and the original bunker are all still here, with an open-air museum telling the story.
FAQ
Everything guests ask before booking
Still unsure about something? Message us — we would rather answer twenty questions now than have you arrive with the wrong expectations.

Our reservations desk is staffed reception open 24 hours, every day. Ask about dietary needs, accessibility, group discounts or the best dates for stargazing.
Yes. We book airport and railway taxis, full-day city sightseeing cabs, private Innova hire and Sam Dunes transfers. Book from the Taxi & Cab section on this site or WhatsApp us your flight/train time.
October to March is the sweet spot: daytime highs of 22–30°C and cool, clear nights perfect for stargazing. December and January nights can drop to 5°C, so pack a jacket — we provide quilts, heaters and a bonfire. April to June is very hot (40°C+) and July to September brings occasional rain, though both seasons are far quieter and cheaper.
The camp is on Sam Sand Dunes Road near Kanoi, about 42 km from Jaisalmer city and roughly a 50-minute drive on good tarmac. We can arrange a private cab from your hotel, the railway station or Jaisalmer airport. Self-drivers get free on-site parking, and we will send a live location pin along with your booking confirmation.
An overnight stay in a suite tent with an attached washroom and running hot water, a camel safari to the sunset point, evening high tea and snacks, a live folk music and dance performance, a bonfire, an unlimited Rajasthani dinner buffet and breakfast the next morning. Jeep safaris, quad biking, parasailing and private dune dinners can be added to any package.
Send the enquiry form or message us on WhatsApp with your dates and group size. We hold your tents for 12 hours while you confirm. A 25% deposit via UPI, card or bank transfer secures the booking and you settle the balance at the camp. Your voucher and itinerary arrive on WhatsApp within minutes of the deposit clearing.
Yes. Children under five stay free with parents and we keep a shorter, flatter camel route plus gentler jeep routes for young kids and anyone with mobility or back concerns. Tents nearest the dining area can be reserved on request to keep walking to a minimum, and our kitchen handles Jain, vegan and other dietary needs with advance notice.
No experience is required for any activity. Quad bikes are automatic and preceded by a safety briefing with helmet and goggles; parasailing uses a certified pilot, a full harness and a double safety check before every launch; jeep safaris run on marked routes kept clear of the camel trails. All equipment is inspected daily and our operations are fully insured.
Layers are key, because the temperature swings widely between afternoon and midnight. Bring a warm jacket for November to February, sunglasses, a hat, high-SPF sunscreen, a scarf for windy dune afternoons, closed shoes for the safaris and a power bank. Charging points, quilts, toiletries and bottled water are all provided at the camp.
Cancel more than 7 days before arrival for a full refund of the deposit. Between 7 and 3 days you receive a 50% refund or a free date change. Within 72 hours the deposit is non-refundable, though we will always try to move you to another date. If we cancel because of a dust storm or any other operational reason, you get a 100% refund or a rebooking of your choice.
